Power Evangelism (8 week course)

Leaders:  Pastor Rayner Rojas and Pastor Jackie Harris

Day/Venue: Wednesdays at VIVE Church (1st meeting is September 18)

Time: 6:30pm

Description: Power Evangelism small group is based on the book Power Evangelism, by John Wimber. Power Evangelism challenges the traditional approaches to evangelism by introducing the concept that sharing the gospel should be accompanied by the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit. The book argues that healing, prophecy, and other spiritual gifts are essential tools for effective evangelism, as they provide tangible evidence of God's presence and power.  We will provide both biblical and practical insights, encouraging believers to rely on the Holy Spirit's guidance and to expect signs and wonders as a natural part of sharing their faith. This small group will delve into the principles outlined in the book, examining how to incorporate spiritual gifts into everyday witnessing, and sharing the gospel with others.  This is a great opportunity to grow in faith, learn to be more responsive to the Holy Spirit, and become more effective witnesses of the gospel.

We believe marriage is the first relationship God formed at creation. This relationship is the foundation for family and parenting and is designed to be a source of life for the family. Satan knows the importance of this relationship and that’s why he fights so hard to weaken and destroy it. At VIVE we are committed to strengthening the marriage relationship between a man and woman by providing a weekly class where couples and individuals can receive biblical instruction concerning marriage and relationships all year round.  Individuals and couples are welcome to attend as often as possible throughout the year. Besides Jack and Michele, the class will be led by various leaders including Pastor Randy and Pastor Jackie.

Day/Venue: Wednesdays at VIVE Church (1st meeting is September 18)

Time: 6:30pm

Description: In this present book, Watchman Nee touches upon all the various aspects of the ministry of the church. He exhorts the church to exercise her ministry as well as warns God’s people against the sin of presumptuousness. How we need to first submit ourselves as a church to God’s authority before we can exercise the given authority in prayer. The church is to pray authoritative prayers which bind and loose that which heaven wills to bind and loose. The church is to pray through and put in execution all that God has purposed and called for in spite of opposition. The church is to use the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in fulfilling her mission.
